Alert Engine Parts is looking for an organized, accurate and performance-driven individual to join the Cape Town Branch.

Summary

The Dispatch Manager is a vital part of the supply chain process that oversees the efficient receipt, storage and despatch of a wide range of goods. The incumbent will report to the Warehouse Manager. Alert Engine Parts is a division of Imperial Holdings with reporting lines into Imperial Group Limited.

The key deliverables will include, but not be limited to the following:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Operational Plan as determined by Warehouse Manager
  • Manage Warehouse resources efficiently and effectively
  • Perform administrative functions
  • Established and maintain productive working relationships with staff and customers
  • Resolve queries
  • Scrutinize reports

Applicants for the position will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Matric and/or a certificate in Logistics Management or equivalent
  2. At least 5 years’ experience in a motor vehicle parts aftermarket retail environment

Alert Engine Parts is looking for an organized, accurate and performance-driven individual to join the Cape Town Branch.

Summary

To manage the checking and packing of outbound orders received from the branch’s customers through effective logistics and people management, thus ensuring high service levels within the checking/packing department and thereby meeting the company’s strategic goals of providing professional service and quality parts. The incumbent will report to the Despatch Manager.

The key deliverables will include, but not be limited to the following:

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the flow of consignments destined for external and internal customers.
  • Ensure that all consignments are accurately checked prior to being packed.
  • Ensure that all consignments are securely packed and are marked correctly and clearly with the details of the consignee.
  • Ensure that all consignments are checked, packed and available for dispatching within the prescribed time.
  • Professionally manage all enquiries relating to outbound consignments.
  • Ensure that all drivers are neatly attired with their corporate clothing.
  • Supervising driver personnel.

Applicants for the position will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Matric or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2years experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Assign responsibility for tasks and decisions. Set clear objectives and measures. Monitor progress and results.
  • Should ideally have sound experience in and extensive knowledge of the business and industry.
  • Firm grasp of administration and internal controls.
  • Must have a good understanding of dispatching and logistics management and have a “hands on” operating style.\
  • Understanding and ability to communicate effectively and conduct business in an appropriate professional business manner. Ability to effectively and co-operatively work with management above and below and with pier group.
